ER-SOCIAL MEDIA CAUSING STUDENTS FAILURE -HEADMASTER

Pentecost Secondary School Headmaster at Koforidua in the Eastern Region,Mr Peter Atta Gyamfi has called on parents to monitor their children when they are on vacation especially those using mobile phone.

According to him, Whatsapps chats and the way student short cat when typing has affected them in their exams writing  and students too dont like reading that has cause major students in failing their exams.

Mr Pater also said that, some teachers too are being lazy in class especially taking their time to teach the children to their understanding, because of that his school has started what he called "Early Prep" in specialise subjects like English,Mathematics and Science, that has been helping the students to perform marvellously. However he is calling on other schools to do the same.

According to him, His School performance in this year 2018 West African Examination Council is 100% as at the number 146 students the school presented.

He finally said that, drugs like wee,tramol is also affecting students performance that they should put stop to it.

Mr Peter Attah Gyamfi said this to broadcast journalist Nana Oppong Kyekyeku when he meet the press in the school.
