SUHUM MCE OKAYS DOUBLE TRACK REGISTRATION AS HEADS LAUD GOVERNMENT FOR THE SYSTEM
===========================

 The Suhum Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Margaret Darko Darkwah yesterday the 11th of September, visited the three senior high schools in her Municipality to have a first hand experience of the ongoing registration of the second batch of the Free Senior High School (FSHS). This batch of the free SHS is dubbed "the double track system".

 The Hon MCE was impressed upon seeing the eagerness of parents taking advantage of Government's quest to provide free education for all irrespective of status in society.

 Inquiring from the Heads of the institutions how far they are managing with the double track system since it is new, the Hon MCE was briefed on the procedure parents and their wards go through to get admitted. "It's just a matter of confirming your name with the assistant Headmaster administration, collecting your admission letter and prospectus from the Headmistress and then proceeding to the Senior Housemaster and Senior House Mistress for your house allocation. It is just as simple as that", Ms Joyce Bosman, the Headmistress of Suhum PRESEC  expressed. This procedure is not different from the other two Senior High Schools in the Municipality. The Heads in all three Senior High Schools in the Municipality congratulated the Government for lessening their work this time around. According to them, the high mounted pressure on them previously has been handled by the Ministry and will congratulate Government for that.

 The only challenge as at time of visit was parents who pleaded that the day status given to their wards is unfavorable to them since they live no where near the area. The Hon mce assured the parents that their grievances will be channeled to the appropriate quarters to ensure that future occurrences would be minimized if not eliminated completely. She entreated them to help the Government  by managing the few challenges emanating from the program for such situations must be sacrificed for the betterment of all in future.

The Hon MCE pleaded with the Heads to champion this course of providing free Education for all irrespective of their political affiliation for "this will attract the blessings of God". She did not mince words in daring any Head for any reason attempts to sabotage the system from running smoothly.

 Moreover, the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) has declared their readiness to receive double track beneficiaries. Sourced from Citi breakfast show on Monday, the Very Reverend Abraham Osei Donkor has disclosed that "for readiness we are. Even tomorrow (Tuesday), some parents are reporting to the various schools to take the list for them to prepare to come. So for the schools, they are ready".

The Hon MCE advised parents not to misuse the money and other resources which other than that would be used to pay their wards school fees for extravagant lifestyle but save for their wards future Education. She entreated students to study hard if not for themselves, they should do so for His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo, the President of the Republic.
