ER SUHUM: OBOAFO LADIES SWEEP SUHUM, SOOKA LAUNCHED

Literally, Suhum is physically clean as the ladies swept with shorts and long brooms. The exercise has a symbolic intent to evacuate the nation's wreckers, the NDC from the land of Suhum.

The short notice but well planned exercise by the Oboafo ladies saw the Suhum township shaking as indigens took part in the exercise. The exercise which took place in the various eight electoral areas in Suhum township under the supervision of both assembly members and NPP electoral area coordinators turned into a mini party event. An overwhelming excitement was experienced when the NPP Parliamentary Candidate Oboafo Kwadjo Asante and the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Mrs Margaret Darko Darkwa were accompanied by the Constituency Executives of the ruling New Patriotic Party to participate in the exercise.

After the ladies have swept and desilted choked gutters in their various electoral areas, they all converged at the event park to clean up the area. It was there that the ladies wouldn't allow the parliamentary candidate and the leadership of the party go without hearing a word from them.

The unexpected mammoth gathering MCed by the Constituency youth organizer, Mr Charles Nana Gyesi, saw speakers like the Constituency Chairman, Mr Frederick Ofosu, Hon Mrs Margaret Darko Darkwa the MCE for Suhum Municipal and the most important Personality of the moment, Oboafo Kwadjo Asante.

After the first two had electrified the crowed with hope for a resounding victory for the New Patriotic Party in the constituency, the parliamentary candidate boosted the enthusiastic crowd with his usual charismatic speeched voice which sent the crowd into wild jubiliation. It's obvious that the ladies swept the nation's wreckers out of the Constituency for good.

 SOOKA LAUNCHED

A group which calls itself "Supporters of Oboafo Kwadjo Asante" (SOOKA) which seeks to embark on a door to door campaign in support of the party's effort to canvas votes was launched just after the clean up exercise. The Constituency Chairman, Mr Frederick Ofosu, commending their voluntary decision assured them of the party's backing but cautioned the group to adhere to the party's campaign strategy and always consult the party leadership for a smooth and cooperative campaign.

The Hon MCE on her part promised to support the group and everyone who volunteers to work voluntarily to bring a resounding victory come 7th December, 2020.
