The EOA Heart FOR Kids Foundation has extended support to the Kressner Handmaids Children’s Home at Kojo Ashong near Amasaman in the Greater Accra Region with a donation of essential supplies and cash to improve the well-being of children at the facility.

The donated items included toiletries, detergents, drinks, exercise books, toys, and a cash contribution—all aimed at easing the daily operational burden on the home and enhancing the welfare of the children.

Receiving the items on behalf of the home, Sister Rita, a representative of the Handmaids of St. Dominic Roman Catholic Congregation, expressed deep appreciation to the Foundation for the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful.

She noted that the children, most of whom are orphaned or come from extremely disadvantaged backgrounds, would benefit greatly from the donation, especially in meeting basic hygiene and educational needs.

Founded by the St. Dominic Roman Sisters, the Kressner Handmaids Children’s Home is a sanctuary for vulnerable children in the Kojo Ashong community and beyond. The home provides shelter, education, and emotional support to children who have lost parental care or have been abandoned.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Eugene Ofei Ansah, Founder of EOA Heart FOR Kids Foundation and a Police Officer at the Ghana Police Service Headquarters Public Affairs Directorate, explained that the donation was part of the Foundation’s wider goal to promote child welfare and social inclusion.

“This is not just a donation,” Mr. Ansah said. “It is a message to the children that they are seen, they are loved, and their dreams are valid. At EOA Heart FOR Kids, we believe a little kindness can go a long way in shaping a child’s future.”

He called on individuals, businesses, and organisations to emulate the gesture by supporting orphanages and homes for vulnerable children, stressing the importance of collective responsibility in national development.

The donation event was marked by smiles, laughter, and heartfelt moments as members of the Foundation spent time engaging with the children and staff.

The EOA Heart FOR Kids Foundation continues to work across the country to provide educational materials, health support, and emotional care to children in need, particularly those in orphanages and underserved communities.

Mr. Ansah said the Foundation intends to broaden its reach and impact in the coming years, with more outreach initiatives planned to support disadvantaged children.
