The General Manager of Zoomlion Ghana Mr Morgan Acquah addressing the media on how the exercises is going to be done across the region said, as part of their second Market descinsfection 29 MMDCEs with 137 Markets in Accra, Public facilities too has been added after that there would be a clean up exercise he noted.
Ministry of Local Government has strategies how all these Regions will be done within 10days. First batch performance of the exercises was great and that enhance them to add public toilets and lorry parks.
In the commissioning of the second batch of descinsfection the Greater Accra Regional minister Hon Ishmeal Ashitey stated that, today's commencement, descinsfection and fumigation exercise in the markets, lorry parks, public places in all MMDAs in the Greater Accra Region and he believe these will reduce the spread of the coronavirus in the region.

We need to prioritize these exercise especially those in Accra, he said Greater Accra Region has become the epid Region carrying higher numbers in Ghana.
It is therefore critical for us in the region to double our efforts and ensuring that we prevent the virus. Expect has said that this virus can only contain in crowded areas, physical contact, and restricted droplets where airborne transmission is possible.
It has also stated that cleaning and descinsfectioning our communities has become one of the preventive measures to fight the virus. In this end the Greater Accra Region is backing on the second face of the descinsfection places by cleaning fumigation exercise which will cover all places in the region.
He urge all MMDCEs is to take personal interest in this exercise particularly the health personnels in the assembly to properly engage their communities especially the market women into these intervention. All MMDAs is to submit a reports and the inspect of the exercises, the RCC too will monitor the entire program to ensure it success.
Hon Greater Accra Minister concluded saying that Covid 19 is Real and we can leave without infected if only we observe the safety precautions and protocols that has been outline for us by the health professional that when we wash our hands with soap under running water, practice social distancing and wear nose/ face mask we would be able to reduce spreading the virus. He acknowledge zoomlion company in supporting these fight against virus.
