3rd Edition Launch of GIJ Eminence Awards 2018

The 3rd edition of the GIJ Eminence Awards 2018 has been launched successful.

The launch ceremony, which was held at LH B2, was attended by some invited number of students including the chief executive technologist of NANOTECH, Oyetunji Abioye, as the guest of honour.

The purpose of the awards is to recognize, inspire, encourage and honour positive works of students on Campus. The partners for this awards scheme are GIJ- SRC and NANOTECH.


With this year’s launch presented by the General Manager of RADComm Campus, Kofi Atiemoknown as Goodman explained that, the event has been planned well on what students and non students are to expect.

The nominees are to be aware that panel members are not going to focus only on voting but on documents that will be presented by the nominee at their field of work.


There will be first panel members for the selection of the nominees and the second panel members for the final selection of the winnings.

*PR Personality of the year

*Event of the year



And the Popular Choice Categories also made up of

*Media Network

*Outstanding Student in Music

*Outstanding Student Photographer

*Poet of the year

*Fresher's Choice Award

*Hall of the year

*Outstanding SRC Member (SRC Executives, GA Reps, Class Reps, Judicial Committee)

* Make Up Artist of the year

* Entrepreneur of the year

* Campus Organization of the year

* Initiative of the year


Nomination started immediately after the launch yesterday  (September, 13th 2018)
Voting starts on October, 1st to November 4th, 2018. The main event (awards night) andafter party which will take place at the Accra Digital Center in Accra will be on November 9th, 2018.

The voting will be paid for via mobile money upon approval from your mobile money account on which voting progress will be made visible and live for viewers on the sitewww.gijeminenceawards.com (Same site for nomination)
