The Ghana health service in it's quest to eradicate malaria and measles from the system is set to distribute some mosquito nets and hold a vaccination program for children.
Briefing the press today, the Ashanti regional health director, Dr. Emmanuel Kojo Tenkorang explained that the service is determined to eradicate malaria and measles from the system.
According to him free distribution of treated mosquito nets is going to began very soon after registering every single individual in the region.
He said the registration is going to start from 4thOctober (Thursday) to 10th October, 2018 and that there's the need for everyone to get registered. He said if you are not registered you are not going to get net.
For the distribution of the net itself, the director disclosed to Nana Peprah they are going to start it from 13th November to 19th November, 2018.
In addition to the net distribution, is the measle vaccination. Director Tenkorang said children between 9months to 5years are going to benefit from it. He said the program is going to began from 17th November to 22nd November, 2018.
