AMBASSADORS OF FREE SHS VISIT ABUSCO AS BRYAN'S AIDE DONATES SHOPPING VOUCHER TO OVERALL BEST HOUSE

Ambassadors of Free SHS yesterday, 16th February, 2019 received a warmly welcome from students and teachers of Abuakwa State College (ABUSCO) during their first year's inter house athletic competition.



Mr Nathan Gyesi Marfo, the special aide to Hon Bryan Acheampong, Minister of state in charge of national security, who was with the Ambassadors of Free SHS donated an undisclosed shopping voucher to the overall best house and promised to sponsor fully their major athletic event which is coming off on the 14th and 15th March, 2019.


Mr Nathan Gyesi Marfo is a former deputy physical education head of department of the Abuakwa State College. His colleague teachers were excited to see him come back to donate generously to his department. A mouth watering get together was organized in honor of Mr Nathan Gyesi Marfo.



Interacting with students, the project director, Mr Samuel Baah encouraged students to take due advantage of the Government's implementation of the Free SHS and foreshadow a brighter future for themselves. He reiterated that the Free SHS is a God sent program to Ghanaians and must be received with gratitude.



Mr Samuel Baah hinted the formation of Peer Ambassadors of Free SHS club in each Senior High School of which ABUSCO would be among the first five schools to be piloted in the Eastern Region. This news brought wild jubilation.



Mr Osei Daniel, a member of the Ambassadors of Free SHS in charge of operations presented polo shirts and stickers to the overall best male and female athletes on behalf of Ambassadors of Free SHS. He advised students to merge studying and their sporting activities which he thinks will necessitate their success in future.



The Head of Physical Education (PE) department and the organiser of the program on behalf of the students thanked Ambassadors of Free SHS especially Mr Marfo Gyesi for their support and the promise made in the major athletic event.
