Executives of the volunteer group AMBASSADORS OF FREE SHS, a youth volunteer group that seeks to champion the quality build up of beneficiaries of governments education for all policy, Free SHS have presented a trophy and certificate to the best second cycle school and certificates to all participating schools at this years 62nd independence day parade held at the Roman Catholic Park at Suhum to encourage and motivate the students to take due advantage of government's education for all policy in order to make their dreams come true.
They also took advantage of the ceremony to outdoor the Suhum branch of a peer ambassadors of the free SHS policy.
In an interview with the Ghanaian Herald Newspaper, the Vision Bearer and Project Coordinator for the Ambassadors of Free SHS, Mr. Samuel Baah aka GOSH indicated that the group shares the vision of the president of the Republic, H.E. Nana Akuffo Addo and for that matter has taken upon them selves to tour almost every senior secondary school in the country and encourage them to take advantage of the policy to attain quality education to help the nation in future.
According to him, the peer ambassador group consist of two beneficiary students from every school across the country who will themselves serve as crusaders unto their fellow colleagues and preach the good news of the policy to both their school mates as well as incoming SHS students in their various neighbourhoods.
As part of their duties, the Ambassadors of Free SHS motivates the students by providing them with additional and essential items such as books, provisions and other incentives all to boost the academic moral of the beneficiary students of the policy.
He has however pleaded with every one or group who also share the president's vision of sustaining the Free SHS policy to extend a hand of support to the Ambassadors to help increase the moral and sustainance of the policy nationwide.
