A controversial student activist of the University of Education Winneba has lambasted the acting SRC presidents of the University over what he described as partiality and sentimental behaviours towards students of the university .
In a statement released on Tuesday , Oscar Komla Bedzra bemoaned the level of partiality and injustice being administered by persons he believed to be the acting presidents of the University (Austin Evans Brew and Issaka Akudugu) .
He revealed that , some students being disqualified after vetting shouldn't have been disqualified , citing reasons that the act was masterminded by Mr. Austin Brew and his acting vice , Mr. Issaka Akudugu.
"...It is a very bad and and an evil act that , someone eliminates a fellow just because of his parochial interest or his stomach so to say . We are intellectuals for God's sake and if we as intellectuals the society looks up to should behave in this manner , then I wonder how these 'stomach leaders' will one day tell others to support them towards a collective interest aimed at development"
"I feel very bad as a student by the fact that , the vetting panel didn't give details regarding the scores of these innocent souls they claimed to have disqualified because they'd realised if they display the details of the vetting results , many innocent ones would have been seen qualified ". The controversial student revealed . Even the processes leading to the formation of the vetting panel is questionable because I was monitoring proceedings and receiving various complains of personal interests linked to Austin and his cohort Akudugu".
He mentioned names including Mr.Anthonio Shugah Mawuli , Madam Promise Agbleze , Mr Felix Dzogbenuku Yao , Mr. Kofi Osei Gideon among others .
"Even my good friend , Shugah Mawuli Anthonio , Madam Promise Agbleze who has great plans worth developing women in the university , as well as one Mr. Felix Dzorgbenuku and Mr.Kofi Osei Gideon , were all dissatisfied without due recourse to vetting procedures . Mr. Austin Brew and his acting vice should be very careful of their disservice they are doing thinking they are wise or whatever ". Mr. Bedzra further added .
He urged all the students that were disqualified saying that there are more prospects after school and added that , they should take up leadership opportunities after their education and make society a better place for all to live .
"The future is certainly unknown and so I urge those who were eliminated by the evil tactics of that so-called Akudugu Issaka who calls himself an acting SRC vice-president and his 'boss' to aspire for more leadership roles , saying that they should not be discouraged by such actions .
