The people of Nankese Abisim will never forget a day like this as their pertinacious dream of getting their wards a comprehensive and an ultra modern school facility has become a reality. Today the Suhum Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Mrs Margaret Darko Darkwah in collaboration with MOTEC GH, a Non Governmental Organization have commissioned a fully furnished six unit classroom block and handed it over to the Municipal Education Directorate for the use by teachers and pupils of Nankese Abisim community.

Nankese Abisim is a small community in the Suhum Municipality with a population close to eight hundred. The only school, D/A basic school was established by Nene Adjartey and later taken over by Government has never seen any major renovation leaving the "atakpame" structure built by the community through communal labour under the mercies of the weather. But today, the untold, and the mystery behind this school has been pinned to the background as a collaborative effort by the Suhum Municipal Chief Executive Hon Margaret Darko Darkwah and the Director of MOTEC Foundation, Mr Ofori Attah have facelifted the community educational infrastructure.

According to him, Hon Margaret Darko Darkwah has been of immense support for this memorable occasion.

The Odikuro of the community, Nene Barfour Adjarno on behalf of his people extended a heart felt appreciation to the two collaborative effort that has brought joy to the community.

The Municipal Director of Education, Mrs Quaye Sowah commended MOTEC foundation for the kind gesture and the role of the Municipal Assembly to help in modifying education to this level. She thanked the Hon MCE for championing in the educational build up in the Municipality and urged teachers to put in their best to solidify her effort. On behalf of the Municipality's Education Directorate, she received the fully furnished six unit classroom building and assured that her outfit will make sure it is put into judicious use to meet it's intended purpose.

The Hon MCE, when handed over the microphone sent the mammoth crowd into gay as she changed her tong into the dialect of the people of the community. Abisim is a densely populated krobos.
In her speech, the Hon MCE advised the community not to engage their wards in farming activities during school hours. She pleaded with the teachers to develop a healthier relationship with the community and take the children as their own for their future have been entrusted into their care. She cautioned that teachers should desist from using the radio and other social media in addressing their challenges when they have not exhausted the appropriate channels. She assured them that her doors are widely opened to receive them anytime they face challenges.

The people were so excited to here such an important personality speak their tongue and commended her for not hiding her multilingual identify.

It could be recalled that same Personalities commissioning this Nankese Abisim ultra modern classroom facility sometime less than two years cut sod to commence work for the construction of today's commissioning. This indeed is the characteristics of committed personalities working for God and country.
