The Municipal Chief Executive for Suhum, Hon Mrs Margaret Darko Darkwa has presented on behalf of the President, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo forty-three (43) motorcycles to all Assembly Members in her Municipality. This presentation is part of president's fulfillment to resource Representatives of the various electoral areas in the various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies throughout the country to enable them function effectively to enhance development in their electoral areas and the Municipality at large.
The Hon MCE after the presentation acknowledged the selfless responsibility the Assembly Members have taken upon themselves to serve the Municipality. She assured the beneficiaries of these motorcycles the President's willingness to reward their hard work. According to the MCE, this is not to pay them off, but a token to relieve them of their duty expenses".
She prayed that as they go to the electorates to solicit for their votes to retain them come December election, God grant them success so they continue to work with this promise fulfilling Government and the Assembly.
The Presiding Member of the Assembly, Hon Alhasan Mohammed who received the forty there motorcycles on behalf of his colleagues, thanked the President and His representative for keeping to their promise to provide the Assembly Members with motorcycles. This he acknowledges is a sign of a listening Government. Hon Alhasan Mohammed assured the MCE that, they shall continue to work selflessly to help the Assembly achieve its objectives.
In attendance include: the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr James Martey, the Constituency NPP Chairman, Mr Frederick Ofosu, the Municipal Finance Officer and other Municipal Assembly's staff.
