 JERRY OSEI POKU SPONSORED AND DONATE 40" TV SET TO STUDENT'S HOSTEL ON BEHALF OF AMBASSADORS OF FREE SHS

The Eastern Regional youth organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the Regional Youth Employment Agency (YEA) boss, Jerry Osei Poku has made a donation of a forty inch (40") digital television set to Champion Hostel in Suhum Constituency.

This kind gesture from the vibrant youth organizer of the party is in response to an appeal by the students to the AMBASSADORS OF FREE SHS to support the hostel with some items.

It would be recalled that the AMBASSADORS OF FREE SHS recently made some donations of some PPE's to some schools as part of the group's support to fight against COVID-19. The champion hostel was not left out. It was during the donation of the PPE's to the champion hostel that a passionate appeal was made by the students to the AMBASSADORS OF FREE SHS.

The Regional Youth Organizer on behalf of the NPP Eastern Regional youth wing has in the shortest possible time responded to the AMBASSADORS OF FREE SHS and donated the 40" digital television set to the hostel.

Addressing the just completed beneficiaries of the Free SHS, Mr Jerry Osei Poku congratulated the newly SHS graduates popularly referred to as Akufo Addo's graduates, for their endurance within this three years of study. According to the YEA boss, this stage in their lives couldn't have been achieved by some of them should there not been the implementation of the Free SHS.

Assuring the over one hundred students and their parents who came to witness the awards ceremony, Mr. Jerry Osei Poku hinted the Government's commitment to ensure that their education doesn't end at this stage, has initiated a guarantee Free loan scheme to ensure that the students do not go through stress to further their education in the tertiary institution should they wish to. He explained what is pertaining currently in the tertiary institution as lots of students are unable to further their education because they were not able to get guarantors to secure them students loan. This he said deprived lots of brilliant but needy students from climbing the academic ladder.

In wishing the privileged graduates well even as they venture into the next stage in their lives, he admonished the students to let their exit pave way for others to benefit from the Free SHS by maintaining His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo as President in order to keep Free SHS going for their younger siblings and friends to equally benefit.

As a sanitation Ambassador, the Suhum Constituency NPP Chairman, Mr Frederick Ofosu who during his presentation of awards to the sanitation prefect of the hostel admonished the students to help make our environment safe by adhering to the sanitation protocols for it is by this we shall make Ghana a beautiful country.

The project Director of the AMBASSADORS OF FREE SHS, Mr Samuel Baah on behalf of the group wishes to express my profound appreciation to Mr Jerry Osei Poku for such a kind gesture and the honour done the group. The AMBASSADORS OF FREE SHS on behalf of the students and the management of the hostel express our profound gratitude to you and the youth wing of the ruling New Patriotic Party.

In attendance to grace the occasion were; Mr Charles Gyesi the Suhum Constituency youth organizer and Mr Appiah Prince an NPP youth activist.
