SUHUM: MCE IS A THREAT TO NDC'S CAMPAIGN FORTUNES IN THE CONSTITUENCY
Just after today's election which couldn't score the required number of votes to swear in an elected PM to substantively chair the affairs of the Assembly's sittings, the NDC caucus of the Assembly members were spotted jubiliating at a drinking bar. An Intel picked of their jubiliation was on the bases that the MCE would be sacked after this unsuccessful exercise of swearing in a substantive presiding member of the Assembly.
Further interrogation revealed that the Hon MCE has been a thong in the flesh of the NDC especially in this 2020 political campaign and general election in the Constituency. According to one of the NDC caucus Assembly member, for the assurance of anonymity confined in the reporter that, the Hon MCE has been a stubborn personality making their effort to grab some appreciated votes to consolidate that of their presidential candidate is not materialising due to her vigorous campaign for the president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.
According to the informer, anytime they met as caucus to unanimously decide to do the needful by voting for the majority's choice, "after all their candidate will never win if even he contests unopposed", their regional executives come to the Constituency with their Constituency Executives to warn them that they dare try such at their own risk of being cursed to death. The informer was troubled because "there is no way their minority choice will win even if he contests unopposed". He said.
It could be recalled that the NDC for sometime now has been spewing propaganda and falsehood against the Hon MCE. Their agenda which is not yielding any meaningful fruit has decided to use their plan B. Information gathered is that, they are going to parade "the MCE must go" on various social media platforms as a way of demonstrating their displeasure of electing a substantive presiding member of the Municipal Assembly.
The MCE on assuming office has unpresidentedly exhibited hard work, transparency and accountability. She has touched on every department of the Municipality's development counting from education, health, sanitation, electrification, roads, agriculture, youth employment, etc.
The NPP in the constituency appreciate the effort of the Hon MCE to do everything within his capacity to maximize votes for the NPP in the constituency.
It could be recalled that the Hon MCE as the Constituency women organizer played a lead role in snatching the seat from the then incumbent NDC in 2000. It is this as flashback that is scaring the NDC, hence this propaganda. Just a Constituency women organizer was able to snatch the seat, their worry is she is simply unstoppable.
