Sekyere Afram Plains DCE Must Not Fail Us In the Fight Against Fulani Herdsmen

We as members of the Concerned Citizens of Sekyere Afram Plains are reminding our District Chief Executive (DCE), Joseph Owusu aka Ɔdɛmkyɛm, that he must not fail the district to fight the burdensome activities of Fulani herdsmen in the area.

This is because the DCE has promised not to allow any Normadic activities in the area to the detriment of the people, particularly farmers but currently, normadic activities are ongoing.
We have all been witnesses to neighbouring Asante Akyem Agogo, the "atrocities" caused by Fulani herdsmen to life and property and dire consequences therein.

For this reason, we would not sit on the fence and watch in disarray, for the  repetition of what happened in Agogo (Asante Akyem North District) to recur in Sekyere Afram Plains.

Protecting life and property is as significant to development in the district and we would like to call on the DCE and remind him as Chairman of the District Security Council (DISEC) to hold the bull by horn and confront the issue at this teething stage in issues management before it gets to crisis management.
