The Suhum Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Mrs Margaret darko Darkwa has congratulated the youth of Suhum for their comportment and discipline over the years which have resulted in the peaceful coexistence among religious, tribal and political differences in the Municipality.
The Hon MCE was addressing the youth during an annual event organised by the Suhum development foundation group dubbed "Kenkey party".
According to the Hon MCE, the youth of Suhum deserve to be praised for helping erase the bad name associated to Suhum some time back which was retarding the progress and development of Suhum.
Speaking on the theme "uniting the youth of Suhum" the Hon MCE was impressed seeing all gathered regardless of religious, tribal and political affiliation to celebrate this annual event. "This is a sign of unity among the youth of Suhum and must be continued". The Hon MCE appreciated. She encouraged the youth to be united to fight for a common goal which is the agenda to develop Suhum.
Sanitation
Hon Mrs Margaret Darko Darkwa reiterated the need to keep Suhum and it's environs clean to prevent outbreak of diseases. She entreated the youth to cultivate the habit of dropping solid waste into litter bins and desist from indiscriminate littering. She admonished that the youth join in the campaign to make Suhum clean.
Planting for food and job

The Hon MCE encouraged the youth to take advantage of the Government's planting for food and job initiative which is aimed at creating job for the youth. According to her, agriculture has become a lucrative venture and that technology has made farming much easier where less effort is needed to have a good harvest.
The Hon MCE congratulated the Suhum development foundation group for such a great initiative to bring all under one roof for the purpose of unity and development.
2019 edition of Suhum Kenkey party has indeed received the applauds it deserves. The occasion was represented by prominent personalities like the Member of Parliament for Suhum, Hon Frederick Opare Ansah, Nana Dokua, the Nkosoo Hemaa of Suhum, Mr Frederick Ofosu, the Suhum Constituency NPP Chairman and his supporters, Mr. Philip Triku, the Suhum Constituency NDC First Vice Chairman and his supporters, Mr Ampem Darko of kwayisi Christian Herbal Clinic, Mr Joseph Owusu, the Suhum District Police Commander and his team, Chiefs and Queen mothers of Suhum.
The Master of Ceremony (MC), Mr Derrick Abradu popularly known as "simple" was good at it again.
