Despite the aggressiveness the NDC led by it's parliamentary candidate, Amanda Kwatia Okyere to unleash violence during the celebration of Eid ul-Adha in the Suhum Constituency, Oboafo Kwadjo Asante, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate exercised his usual peaceful and humble characteristics to preach peace as he addresses the celebrants of Eid ul-Adha in the ayekotse masalachi.
Oboafo Kwadjo Asante called on the Muslims to use the occasion to commemorate the peaceful character of prophet Mohammed and shun any form or act of violence whatsoever. He entreated them to consider peaceful personalities and political party come December 7. It could be recalled that the presidential candidate for the opposition National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama confirmed the NDC as born out of violence and when it comes to unleash violence no political party comes close to the NDC. It is from this reference that can conclude that Suhum NDC not an exception.
*NDC attempted violence*
The NDC Rambo entry style to block all NPP cars which have packed accordingly suggested that the NDC has not come to celebrate the peaceful Eid ul-Adha in peace. One of their 'gangalia' had told a Muslim who was directing the traffic so no one blocks the way that, the NPP cars will find how they will escape should they say "fiw".
The breach of protocol on the program was another to be considered the evil intention they have come there to exhibit as usual. On the outlined program, the parliamentary candidate of the NDC is supposed to give his address followed by the NPP Parliamentary Candidate and would be crowned by the president's representative of the land to deliver the President's message to the Muslims on such an occasion which of course is the normal protocol outline. The NDC thugs never responded to the call to address the celebrants. Despite the several calls by the organizers to follow the program the NDC Parliamentary Candidate disrespectfully ignored the call. Instead asking the Parliamentary Candidate of the NPP to jump the cue. As peaceful and humble as he is, Oboafo Kwadjo Asante respectfully adhered to the call to deliver his brief but peaceful in nature message to the Muslims in the constituency and pleaded with the celebrants to maintain such peaceful coexistence with one another despite the provocation from any angle.
The NDC Parliamentary Candidate was given another opportunity to deliver her message before the celebrants listen to the president's message from the Hon MCE. Again the NDC Parliamentary Candidate refused insisting that she will never address the Muslims until the MCE delivered the President's message. The organizers felt embarassed of such insubordination from a young pretty lady and so decided to listen to the President's message which should be the last message to be delivered according to the laid down protocol. The Hon MCE never hesitated to adhere to the call on her to deliver the president's message to the celebrants on the special day of their sacrifice to Allah. Despite the intimidation by the NDC Parliamentary Candidate and her followers during the delivering of the president's message by the Hon MCE, the celebrants listened with kin interest. The celebrants left the grounds after the Hon MCE's delivery asking the NDC Parliamentary Candidate to deliver her message to her few followers for how she has nearly ruined their celebration with violence and disrespectful attitude.
It has to take the peaceful character of Oboafo Kwadjo Asante and his entorage to exercise patience to allow the NDC Parliamentary Candidate and her followers to finish with everything they were doing to move their cars to allow any car to move out of the premises of the celebration.
