RISING FROM THE WHEEL CHAIR TO AN EXECUTIVE CHAIR, THE RESULTS OF DIVINE INTERCESSORY PRAYER - SUHUM MCE SHARES EXPERIENCE WITH WOMEN FELLOWSHIP
The Suhum Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Margaret Darko Darkwa on the last day of March 2019 joined the Akuapim Presbytery Women's Fellowship of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana on their 28th delegates conference hosted by Suhum district.
The day coincidentally marked exactly five years the Hon MCE was involved in a fatal accident which nearly took her life but for the timely intervention of divine selection she is counted among the living.
When given the platform as the Special Guest of Honor of the occasion, Mrs Margaret Darko Darkwa used the opportunity to thank God for saving her life five years ago and called on all the women to help her praised her maker while she shared the heart touching story after the accident. " *Rising from a Wheelchair to climb an Executive Chair is not by my might but by the grace of God"the Hon mce said in tears.
She charged all mothers not to desist from intercessory prayers especially for their children for God listens to the prayers of mothers for their children. According to the Hon MCE, her mother is a prayer warrior and never seizes interceding for her children which she (the MCE) believes is the result of her being alive and rising from a Wheelchair to climb an Executive Chair.
She also used the opportunity to thank his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo for availing himself to be used by God to lift her up to this status in her political career.
Speaking on the theme of the women fellowship delegates conference _"Go and make disciples of all nations, women roll in discipleship_ " taking Lydia as a role model, the Hon MCE charged the women to live an exemplary life in the society they find themselves. According to her God has entrusted their children into their care for a purpose and they would be accountable of how they brought their children up. She charged them to get closer to God just as Lydia did.
